the side-effects are definitely something to worry about...
as for me... my side-effect is CS... kinda severe... but it reduces as time passes... my CS condition has slightly improved...
U shud consider ETS only if u couldn't bear ur HH condition.... |

i think i better explain my condition rite now in malay ( + english sikit2 )..
Walaubagaimanapun kesan sampingan sangat teruk saya alami setelah beberapa bulan melakukan ETS.Bahagian depan dan belakang badan saya sangat mudah berpeluh.Serius tak tipu.Berjalan pada waktu siang lagi2 tengah hari semakin mudah badan saya berpeluh.Baju yang saya pakai memang kelihatan seperti orang selepas melakukan aktiviti berat dan bersukan. |

Hi,
My name is Terry and i had done the ETS operation in mid of 2006. At first, i felt wonderful because as most of us already know, how troublesome it is to have a pair of sweaty hands and how it affected our life. However, it was a blessing in disguise.
The Compensatory Sweating in my face, back and abdomen is simply unbearable and I would classified it as SEVERE. Now, before anything else, let me tell more about myself. I am 172cm tall, weight approx 65-67kg, so I can tell you that i am a ordinary man and not one overweight man whom keeps sweating. Yet, i sweat like one.
Imagine a lunch in a coffee shop would wet my clothes. If i were to eat spicy food, it would drench my clothes. Of course, under air-con place it would be the nicest ever because u wont be sweating. However, if the small distance to that area would be affecting me! Imagine i can sweat while walking in a normal pace from a car park to the lift, waited 1 or 2 minute, and before i even step out from the lift to the air-conditioned shopping complex, I am sweating already.... sigh... and yes, i do sweat when sitting in front of my computer unless the air-con is on.
Because of that, i have to change my clothing preference. Luckily i am a student, hence i am quite free to wear whatever i which to. Currently, most of my apparels consists of Nike Dry Fit clothing. it does not have patches of sweat like many clothing bcos it will dry very fast. However it does has its disadvantage too. When u sweat, it has a heavier smell compared to normal clothing, i suspect its the special material to vaporize sweat. I began to wonder now what will happen when i enter workforce and have to wear formal shirt and coat.... and that is hapenning soon as i am a final year economic student.
Overall, i would say I am not better off with the operation. Of course, solving the sweaty palm is phenomenal but it comes with another problem which is not pleasant either. If I can rewind time again, I would probably not do this operation. The compensatory sweating which drenched my clothes in my opinion is AS SUFFERING as my sweaty palm which wet my exam paper. |

There are some side effects in some patients after ETS surgery. All ETS patients will experience the consequences of denervation. ETS reduces the resting heart rate in a fraction of patients. _________________ career coach training |
