Hello to all, I am a 19 year old university student and have been facing this problem since i was in Form 2. FYI, I am having palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis. This condition stops me from doing things that normal people do. Yes, Im very afraid of shaking hands and Im sick of this! I want to have the surgery and i have consulted Dr. David Khoo a few years ago, but my father did not agree to let me have the surgery because he said its too risky and the side effects are many. I have spoken to a male sufferer before regarding the ets surgery and he suggested that i should talk to a female sufferer instead to get more information so yeah, here i am,looking for those female sufferers who have done the surgery to share their experiences. Please please please..i need this to convince my dad to let me have the surgery =( |

Dear Allison C,
You could ask forumer Cutie through PM.
She's been a big help to me when I was considering for ETS last time.
And as per your concern:
| Quote: | | This condition stops me from doing things that normal people do. |
ETS will stops you from doing things that normal people do as well ie. jalan2 at pasar malam, going to jumaat prayer in the middle of the day (for male sufferer like me).. just to name a few.
Please read sub-topic Surgery - Side Effects for more info..
Ps: This opinion is based from my experience. Please dont think I'm making you afraid of ETS' side effects or urging you not to take the surgery etc.

Allison C,
Yes, I'm having compensatory sweating (CS) all over my body.
To tell you the truth, my life was better before the surgery.
